da esoccer bet: Swansea City played out a goalless draw with Sunderland leaving both sides still searching for their first win of the season.
da bwin: Black Cats boss Steve Bruce was hoping his side would bounce back from two 1-0 defeats to fierce rivals Newcastle and Championship outfit Brighton, with a win at the Liberty Stadium.
His wishes weren’t granted as his side failed to find a way past the in-form Michael Vorm in the Swans goal. The home side picked up yet another credible point but Brendan Rodgers will be worried by the fact they’ve failed to score a top flight goal in three outings.
Scott Sinclair came closest to breaking that drought in the first half only for his scorching effort to cannon back off the crossbar whilst record signing Danny Graham also squandered a chance to open his account for the season.
Sunderland debutant John O’Shea also hit the crossbar with a header leaving Bruce frustrated yet again on the touchline. He has been criticised this week for his selection policy up front and he adhered to those calls pairing Asamoah Gyan and Stephane Sessegnon together in attack.
The former should have had a hat trick at least but he just couldn’t find a way past Vorm who is proving to be a shrewd buy and a very consistent performer for Rodgers’ side.
